Hello All you lovely people.

I hope you have all had a great and pain free christmas. I haven't been on as things have been pretty difficult still for me. The RA is not yet under control and am in pain most of the time. I know, it could be worse at all the time, but since having a steroid pulse mid November the pain is no longer everyday.

I start my new treatment on 5 Jan which is the Rituximab infusions. I have a cold right now so am hoping that I don't get an infection otherwise the infusion will be postponed.

I am still managing to hold down my job which some days is quite difficult, but have been taken off mobile duties, which has helped and if I am bad in my legs I tend to stay in my office as much as poss.

Well, I wish you all well and a Happy New Year

Trace xx

Hi Trace
Lovely to hear from you and a Happy New Year to you and yours.

I do hope that the cold clears and you are able to start the new treatment in January and that work seem to be being sympathetic towards you.

Best Wishes

Sue

Welcome back Trace, I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were getting on. Sorry you're having a rough time and hope the Enbrel helps.

Well folks, I wasn't allowed to have the first Infusion on thursday as my blood test said I was too ill to have it. My white and neutral cell counts were too high???

The nurse said it shows signs of an infection. So I am now on a weeks course of Amoxycillin. Not yet sure when I will be able to go ahead.

I haven't had a cold for probably 3 years.............and 'NOW' I get one GRRRRR

I hope this post finds you all well and pain free

Trace xx

What a shame Tracey, so frustrating when you want to get going on the new drug. Hope the antibiotics do their job and you can going on rtx as soon as possible.

Thinking of you Julia xx

Hi
There's lots of nasties going round at the moment - just when you don't need it!
Hope your antibiotics kick in and your infusion works well (when you have it)
Take care and keep your chin up!
Julie xx
